Scrapbooking systems Day 1 - Packing a kit for a big project

Hello people!
This post came in late and I apologize for that!
Work had been really busy and I'm sleep deprive right now.
But I will still continue to scrapbook!

A few months ago, I decided to scrapbook my childhood
and then this month, Big Picture Classes has a free event called Big Idea Feastival
And it's all about scrapbooking your childhood using list
I got inspired and it pushes me to get the project started
I got the Simple Stories Snap 12x12 Faux Leather Album in Teal
I used a studio calico kit box to keep all my supplies
I had so much fun shopping my own supplies for the project !

So today I'm sharing how i kit up this GIANT kit :)

I choosed some journaling cards
The main company products i'm using is October Afternoon
Because of it's cream background
And the main collection i'm using is Cake Walk
Here are some Cakewalk embellishments

I also have these from Prima and Studio Calico
Flowers and butterflies reminds me of childhood
So does wood chips and metal elements

Love this banner from Dear Lizzy and I couldn't get myself to do it until now! I should really just use it on a page :)
Some new products from Studio Calico Storytime collection
it's a childhood collection, however the colour scheme doesnt match the 90s,
so i included only the embellishment

Some chipboard elements

Some heidi swapp memory files stuff
which i might include inside the albuum for fast scrapping

the load of papers which are mainly from October Afternoon Cake walk
another reason for choosing this collection is because there are alot of birthday photos in my collection

Farm Girl sticker and alpha sheets

some bingo cards

some circle shapes I cut from silhouette as I want to test a technique out :)

And finally the photos :)

I always keep the album and the kit together so that i'm aware of what is going on :)

Tomorrow I will share how I choose, use, print and organised the photos :)
SO check back in here tomorrow.
All the way until sunday , I will have post each day
sharing the rest of the system :)

Love this idea! I should do the same! My mom kept many photos from childhood that I need to scrap! Love Studio Calico but love the new Kelly Purkey & OhDeer embell. kits too! I've so many on IG too! CitrusTwists too!

Love how you make your own kit! I don't subscribe from kits, but I do look at them for coordinating ideas. Especially Citrus Twist Kits :)

Wow! I can never organise a kit like how you all are able to do so. I'm bad at putting papers together though. Hence, I'd always do simple layouts following youtube, substituting with whatever supplies I have. Thanks for sharing your way of keeping ur kit for a project so neatly :D
