Today I'm sharing : DIY project life cards with stamping and water colour
Using the new Outline it an Today stamp set, and my trusty Versafine + Stazon black ink, I stamp several words on plain white cardstock. After it dries, I simply added touches of watercolor using my water brush and the Peerless Watercolor palette (the one in the image is one i made myself following an online tutorial ) Below I share two specific stamping + watercoloring techniques
Some close ups
Technique 1 : I tried to stamp a word on a card by spreading and spacing out the letters so it looks quite random, so the word becomes subtle and the focus can be somewhere between the colour combination, the design made by the spacing and also the meaning of the word itself. I think it's kind of fun and I will definitely try doing this again!
I'm not a very merticulous person, hence I don't like to colour within the lines. What I normally do is just to colour around it, purposely colour out of the lines.
Technique 2 : Painting a light and bright colour over a word feels as though i'm highlighting the word. The cards like "today" (which by the way has the most beautiful brush script done by Jodie from Polka Dot Creative) and "Love Watching" and "I am Creating" are done using the idea of highlighting.
I also left some space below for journaling later on in the week.
More close ups
