MWL Challenge #9

I have recently sign up for a online scrapbooking class with
 twopeasinabucket
Held by shimelle laine.
I think that this class is very worth it as she showcased her 42 brand new layouts
and has 5 comprehensive pdf on the 5 topics,
with 5 supporting video
where she walk us thru the different layouts
and also show us how to create one from start to finish :)

This is base on the idea on white space,
And white space doesnt mean it have to be in white colour,
it just means giving the layout a blank space
so that it wont be too 'taxing ' on our eyes

Some of us might not like the idea of having too much blank space on an LO
i like of like the simplicity of it :)

I sprayed the Maya roads chipboard butterfly
with Tattered angles chalk glimmer mist
And use some twines to wrap around the butterfly
to give them their feelers :)

Supplies used:
Tattered angles chalk glimmer mist
Maya roads chipboard butterfly
AC thickers, Sunrise
Dear Lizzy Neopolitan scrabble stickers
Paper from Fancy pants, crate paper and MME.
WRMK baker's twine -red
Martha steward butterfly punch
Fiskars Jenni Bowlin tab punch
May arts twine

Till next time!
:D

Washi Madness!

Hello guys!

I’m here to share a little something about washi tape.
Some of you may be new to scrapbooking so here is a little help on that. Washi tape is now the IN thing in crafting ! haha. Why so? It’s so versatile and can be used on almost any surface.

I love them because they are colourful and customisable. I used them on my Layouts and my cards, and of cos my mini albums. You can also use them to wrap presents, to decorate your notebook/scheduler or used to decorate a birthday party function room etc!

Take a look at this, isn’t this cute?
This can be used as a welcome gift for your 21st birthday party

What about making a simple card for your friends?

Very easily done even for guys or non crafters J Just pile and stick! You don’t even need a scissors, because the torned edge add a little dimension to the card , nicey!

What about this kind? Making a banner using washi tape and stapler it onto a card, how wonderfully and simply beautiful!  (by the way, I will be posting a tutorial on this soon )

You can simply make a bow by rolling another tape over it J

Don’t be afraid to make mistake because they are not as tacky as you think, they can be peel off after you stick down, but they wont come off on it’s own unless you peal if. Isnt it cool? You can actually reposition the tapes if you find the tapes are not on their right position.

You can even write on the tapes , some surface allow u to write just with a pen, others u have to use a permanent marker.

How about making decorative ornaments?

And more examples of decoration using washi tapes!

Here is a link to another blog which give a even more comprehensive list of examples and links on the website. if you want to know more about washi tapes, do drop by J
Lastly, here are some links to videos about washi tapes :

If you already have washi tapes, get craking and be creative with them! If you don’t have, well, I’m actually selling it now! Click on the tab “Stashfor Sales’ to check them out . I’m selling them lower than most retail prices. Limited sets available so hurry! And well , Enjoy crafting! :D

Made With Love Challenge #8

Very glad to be able to take time out to try this challenge at MWL.
This time i take on the topic of "All About Me"

I used the supplies from studio calico kit called papermoon
and added some elements from Basic grey oxford collection
Also some fancy pants paper
and washi tapes

In this layouts i used alot of envelops , tags
and elements that screams me ( like the red specs, and camera)
and ' i want that to be me( like the A+ student )
haha

In the Smash pockets contains tags
Each have journalling about myself
there are total of 10 items including my school, my family and my favourites

I actually took the thickers (natural colour)
and misted with mister Huey's dark calico
to turn them into black colour !

I have also used the notebook punch from Ek success to
create the torn notebook pages look
on one of the tags

Really fun to scrap with out photos
because we need not worry about colour of paper not matching the photos
rather quick and easy
i shall try it again!

Thanks for stopping by!
Till next time:D

Some older guestbooks yet to be shared :D

Here i'm sharing with you guys some
guest books i have made last year

#1 - for my friend Jannice :)
This guestbook has a spiral binding
and it's a more vintage themed book

inside includes decoration for every group of friends attending her party
including me! haha, can you spot me in the picture above?

The pages designed will serve as dividers
so that each group of friends write in the blank papers
that are found after their photo :)

#2 - Maggie's guestbook

This is also another spiral binded guestbook
i like to make spiral binded books cos it's more versatile

Just love this butterfly so much

# 3 - guestbook for wei xin

This guestbook is about 12 x 7 inches (like an A4 sized book)
it's hinge binded (like a hard cover book)
It is actually same style as the guestbook i made for my friend
you can find the post here

 love this cupcake!

# 4 - guestbook for HuiJuan

This is a paper bag album
It's about 6x6 or 7x7 inches
it is also hinge binded
Inside include tags that can be pulled out for  your guests to write on them
The advantage of this album is that it kind of saves time
instead of letting your guest waits for the book,
they can just take a tag and start writing:)

A similar book is the one i made for a kid's birthday
you can find the post here
The only difference is that this is made of paper bags
while the kid's album is made of envelops
but they work the same :D

Pls feel free to leave a comment if you have any qns
or email me at greentea_world_56@hotmail.com
if you have any questions

If you like the above designs, why not
Start to pre order your guestbook with us now!
:D
