Midori Traveler's Notebook | Taiwan 2015 Part 1 (An overdue post)

Previously on Instagram I shared 7 ideas of using midori to document travels . Here is a collation :)

#1 just write with a black pen and then add cute stickers.
#2 if you forgot to document something , just add a piece as the "insert" , securing it using washi tape !
#3 add the entire pamphlet or broacher into the album , securing it with a cute paper clip .
#4 if you want to be able to see the back of the business card, secure them to your book just with a washi tape :) You can even add some hidden journaling behind the Business card
#Stamping !!! This is a Kelly Purkey stamp :) I use it over and over during my travel because I eat a lot !
#6 if you want to be able to remove the business card , you can slot it into a transparent pocket (from Midori) like this :)

#7 collect the ephemera and tickets in an envelop and stuck it at the back of the book!

Thanks for stopping by!

Midori Traveler's Notebook | Melbourne 2015 - Handy Handphone Apps (Evernote + Instax + Canon)

This post is way overdue. I prepared it in advance along with the previous two post about scrapbooking my Melbourne trip in my Midori. However I totally forgot about it as Week In The Life comes along and then I went to Adelaide yet again. So here I am back in my crafty space finishing up my WITL and actually i got it DONE today :) Here is a sneak peak

So in this post I'm suppose to share with you the apps that helps me scrapbook my travels in my iPhone . I believe these are available in the Android phone as well.

1. Evernote

I cannot live without this. If my Evernote notes are gone, I cannot function. I have a notebook set up for each travel, which I dump my itinerary and etc inside. I have one notebook for one travel, they are kept in a "stack" of notebooks .

The notebooks have notes that keep track of some of my thoughts and feelings. I type as I travel, on and off, here and there. Somedays I end earlier, I will type into it before I sleep. So when I journal in my Midori back here at home, I pull out those itinerary to check names of places, my plans and etc

 2. Instax app

I print photos on the go using my instax share printer. To do that, I print everything from my iPhone via this app. Here is a great How to guide

3. EOS Canon Remote app

Sometimes I just need to print photo that I took using my DSLR . I will connect my iPhone to my 6D wifi , and download the pictures into my phone using this app :)

So here is the last process video

Photos of the pages :)

Here is the end of my Midori series for Melbourne :) I will be coming back for another series for my Adelaide travel in September :) Before that, I will be sharing my WITL photos and videos . So look forward to that!

Midori Traveler's Notebook | Melbourne 2015 - Polaroids

*Read all posts about Midori/Fauxdori here*

Hello all, I'm back here with more videos on Midori Travelers Notebook. This two weeks I will be sharing on a particular notebook inside this notebook stack - my 3 day trip to Melbourne. It involves tons of Coffee goodness. I will be sharing on 3 aspects of memory keeping in my Midori
2. Printing Polaroids (today)
3. Handy Handphone Apps

Today I will be sharing on printing polaroids using my Instax share printer. The supplies I use are all listed below for your reference.  I love the convenience of using a polaroid printer at home, the great thing about it is that, you can print any photos that are on your phone. I did take the hassle to transfer my DSLR pictures to my phone first , using the GREAT wifi function on my Canon 6D , and the Canon EOS app. Then i go into the Instax share printer app to print the photo. Although it's a two step process, it still works great , for the quality of the polaroid i'm getting !

I also did some stamping with the Hashtag words from Kellie Stamp (I believe it's sold out for now, but she always release new stamps every month, and they are super fun to work with! )

Here is my video
