A layout with some ideas to share :)

Recently,
one of the LSS has a moving out sales of 60%
I thought of getting a little into the mixed media section of art
hence I bought a few (or a lot) bottles of mist
and some templates/stencils

Here is how I make my mist swatch
So that i keep an account of what colours i have
and it's easy to bring out , so that i dont buy duplicates

I punched some 1.5" circles from the white cardstock

I misted each circle with my new mist

punch a hole throught them using the cropadile
Label them with the brand and colour

secure them together using binding rings
easy :)

And here is a look of what's like
experimenting in progress!

I made some background using the stencils
and some journaling cards too!
Also trying out Project Life recently

Love them!

_____________________________________________________

I also have a layout to share :)
It is for the challenge over at CSI
Case file #36
The last case I 'handled' was 15!
So long ago!

Anyway, I really do love the monochromatic colour pallet here

Here is my process :)

Used the hexagon stencil,
sprayed a few times with some glimmer mist
and splatter some glimmer glam over

I used the coordinates this time!
So fun to print and cut out the images myself

Love these autumn leaves

Chose a pattern paper from MME

Paste the photos and layer over some journaling cards
Love the speech bubble!

Decided to make a paper garland using the die cut pieces
(inspired by this project from two peas in a bucket quite sometime ago)
So I punched a hole thru all the pieces
and also my starbucks holer
And thread a bakers twine through the hole and arrange them

Here is how it looks like all thread up

secure the both ends using Tim Holtz tiny attacher

Add title using the Jillibean soup alpha stickers!
Love the font

Journaling added
and it's call done :D

Thanks for stopping by and
till then :)

*P.s. Be sure to check back my blog next week

 as I'm posting a great giveaway !!
You don't want to miss that :p*

CSI Challenge 2 !

Here is another layout for the second challenge using a different sketch :)

1. I use the same white cardstock as the bkgrd. And I also use tim holtz flourish mask and tattered angles teal chalk glimmer mist to create the flourish at the top right hand corner.

2. I use the same papers to cut some banners and arrange them into place. I use a baker's twine to add some dimension to the banners. I also used some ribbons to stretch across the page under the photo, i also added a section of blue lace and ruler ribbon at the top of the page :) This is to add a touch of fabric to the layout :)

3. I added some prima flowers around the photos. In this layout, i used 4 small pieces of 2x3 inches photo, taken at the Singapore Changi Airport and on the plane itself. It's a journey to New zealand with my boyfriend:) it's also my first time taking a plane!!!

The journalling is about this wonderful and memorable journey and adventure in NZ. Thanks for looking :) Feel free to leave me a comment on what you think about my layout.

I used the same sketch as I used in challenge one to create this page. The following is my creation process :

1. I used a white cardstock as the bkgrd. Next I use tim holtz flourish mask and tattered angles teal chalk glimmer mist to create the flourish at the top right hand corner.

2. I choose some purple, blue and yellow pattern paper from BG and Echo park. and also used the hambly carema screen. I used the MS butterfly punch, and EK success Layering punch to create the scallop circls which i scattered around the page.

3. In this layout i used 2 4x6 photo. They are taken at Lake Tekapo of New Zealand last may when i went NZ for a vacation with my boyfriend. I really love this 2 photos and i think the colours of this challenge can bring out the photo even more:) I finish off the page with some prima flowers and washi tapes on the top of photo :)

Hope you guys enjoy the layout!
