WEEK IN THE LIFE | Completed Album Part 1

Yay to week in the life project :) Here are the pages from Monday to Wednesday.

I did some embossing to the chipboard letters with the gold embossing powder. My recent addiction to gold color is getting worst haha!

Adding in my One Little Word of the year - Breathe. This photo was taken on my way to school , under a random tree . The words were added in Photoshop as digital stamps.

Instead of using the 3x8 pages for the schedule, I decided to use for photos. I also used the 6x8 WITL templates that Ali had on her digital store. 

Adding some die cuts elements and dividers to the album for some texture.

I'm obviously missing a photo here, doesnt this kind of thing happens all the time, when you think that your album is completed, you realise something is missing, and after you get that thing done, you realise yet another thing is missing.  I guess i'm going to leave it for now.

SO here is how I added all my "journaling" Last year I printed out the daily sheets in A4 size and place on my desk and I fill it up every night. However, towards completing the album, I realise my daily sheets were nowhere to be found. I lost those journaling! This year I made it digital. I recorded my schedule using this format that Ali provides on Evernote. This way I can record wherever I go. Eventually, i just need to print it out in the correct size and attached a boarder of pattern paper from Ashley Goldberg + Studio calico class Paint.plan.play.

Added the coffee cup sleeve in a Simple story flip pocket.

WEEK IN THE LIFE | Album set up

Hello all, 

It's December already? Where did the time go? We are almost wrapping up the year of 2014. Remember I shared my Week In The Life photos last month? Here I have my album completed. I'm going to share it in 3 different posts. Today, I have the photos of the pages partially complete with most journaling cards, decorative elements and photos in the album, missing the journaling.

The 4R (4x6 inches) photos were printed using my trusty worthy Canon Selphy Cp900, while the 6x8 inches photos were printed in a local FujiFlim printing service outlet. Those were pretty expensive.

I was missing some photos hence I used the little yellow post it sticks to remind myself

I left one large 6x8 page protector at the end to house all the extra stuff, such as the transparent sheets obtained from cutting up some page protectors , and also Simple stories photo flips incase i have more photos to add :)

Tomorrow I will share with you the completed album , those pages from Monday - Wednesday.

I'm so glad I had completed my album this year :) It's now fat and fluffy and filled to the brim of the album. I hope you had a great time completing your album as well !

WEEK IN THE LIFE | PHOTOS

Hello all, I hope you had a good week . Last week I took up the challenge of completing a project called Week In the Life. This project is an initiation by Ali Edwards to document one week of your life each year.

This is my second year trying this project and I'm so happy I completed it. Just two years I have already made some observations and the differences in my life. I'm sure looking back few years later , it will be an amazing experience. Here are some of the differences in how I approach my project .

ONE | In 2013, I took the photos mostly using DSLR. This year I only used my Iphone5 and pictapgo app to edit the photographs

TWO | In 2013, my setting is in a junior collage, my role is a teacher. In 2014, my setting is a university, my role is as a student teacher.

THREE | I use the timer capability in iOS 8 and daringly place my phone in weird places, even public, just to take a photo of what i'm doing . I think it's really rewarding . You can also just ask passer-by or friends or collegues to help you take the photo. Candid is best :) Post candid is good too :p

I'm also getting alot of difference in feelings and emotions by just looking at the photographs, seeing what i do and also what I choose to photograph. My routine changes a bit, my love for coffee grew. It's good to see what you have been doing and living as a whole. I can also see what's missing in my life and how will i (or not ) what to improve on, what can i (or should I not) change :)

This photograph is inspired by Ali , how she place her camera and frame it as a peeking into the door kind of photograph :)
